Description

Sil-Braze Flange Connections are some of the most widely utilized in Marine applications. Typically made of bronze, these components utilize a brazing process to create a permanent seal between the pipe and the flange. This process starts by inserting a silver-based brazing alloy ring into the socket end of the flange and inserting the pipe into the joint. The joint is then heated to melt the brazing material into the gap between the pipe and flange. This creates a strong leak-proof connection. These connections are corrosion and heat-resistant, which makes them ideal for Marine, Navy, and Industrial applications. This 1/4 in. Face Fed Flange is made from Bronze. It has a pressure rating of 150 lb Navy with a Sil-braze connection conforming to MIL-F-1183.
