Description

This 1/8 in. Tubing is made from Copper.

Tubing is a hollow cylindrical product used to convey fluids or gases through a system. Unlike pipe, which uses nominal IPS (Iron Pipe Size) designations, tubing is measured by its actual outside diameter (OD) and wall thickness. Copper tubing uses its own sizing system called CTS (Copper Tube Size), which is not interchangeable with IPS-sized fittings.

Copper (Cu) is a metal known for its exceptional electric and thermal conductivity. Copper is a highly durable and malleable material, which makes it critical in plumbing and marine applications.

Tubing Characteristics

  • Sized by Actual Outside Diameter (OD)
  • Not Interchangeable with IPS-Sized Components
  • Available in Multiple Marine-Grade Materials

Advantages of Copper

  • Excellent Thermal and Electrical Conductivity
  • Corrosion Resistant
  • Durable and Malleable

Tork Systems offers an extensive range of valves, pipe, fittings, and flanges that are critical to ship repair projects and other marine applications. Our markets include US Navy, Coast Guard, and Commercial marine vessels. Let our team of marine experts help you find the parts you need to Get Ship Done.
