This 1-1/2 in. Sleeve is made from 70/30 Copper Nickel with a Bell End connection. CL200 pressure rating.
Sleeves are hollow cylindrical components that fit around or over other piping components. Sleeves can perform many functions ranging from stabilizing pipelines, coupling components, and protective covering. They are also versatile sealing components that help prevent leaks between coupling elements.
Sil-braze connections employ a brazing process using a silver-brasing alloy. Instead of threads, the pipe fits into a socket which has a channel cut into it. A brazing ring is inserted into the channel and the silver alloy is heated and melted into the gap. This creates a permanent bond between the fitting or valve and the pipe. Sil-Braze connections are exceptionally strong, leak-proof, and resistant to vibration.
70/30 Copper Nickel, often abbreviated to 70/30 CuNi, is a high-performance alloy comprised of 70% copper and 30% nickel. This high nickel content offers enhanced resistance to corrosion than other alloys- making it a critical material for producing marine and offshore systems components.
