A union is a specialized pipe fitting used to join two pipes that can be disconnected whenever necessary. Union Fitting connections consist of three primary interlocking pieces: a threaded male end, a threaded female end, and a central nut or ring that draws the two ends together. The male and female ends are sealed by compression against a metal seat or gasket. Union fittings create secure and leak-proof connections that can be easily disconnected.
Socket weld pipe connections are used in high temperature and high-pressure environments. Socket weld pipe connections feature a smooth internal bore sized to match the outer diameter of the pipe.
