Gate Valves are designed for regulating fluid flow by lifting a round or rectangular gate out of the path of the fluid. This 2-1/2 in. Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve is made from Bronze with Monel trim. It has a pressure rating of Class 150 with a Flanged connection. It is operated by a Handwheel.
This valve uses a flanged connection, featuring a flat circular plate with bolt holes. This connection allows for easy disassmbly for maintenance or replacement without the need to cut the pipe.
Monel Trim indicates the internal components are comprised of a Monel alloy. Monel is an alloy of Nickel-Copper that is particularly resistant to corrosive environments.
A Non-Rising Stem is a design feature where the Valve Stem does not move up or down when the actuator is turned. Instead, the wedge/gate/disc threads onto the stationary stem - moving up and down within the body of the valve. This feature is particularly useful in applications where space is limited and the valve assembly must be compact.
