Description

This 20 in. Wafer Check Valve is made from Bronze with a Wafer connection with a Class 150 pressure rating.

A Wafer Check Valve is a variety of non-return valve designed to prevent backflow in a pipeline. These valves have a wafer-style body that makes it highly compact with no internal flanges. Wafer Check Valves are installed directly between two existing flanges. Wafer Check Valves open to allow fluid to flow in one direction and automatically closes to prevent any backflow - particularly when flow reverses or the pressure drops.

Wafer connections feature a compact design that allows the valve to fit snugly between two existing flanges in a pipeline. The part is held in place by bolts that pass through the entire assembly. This design saves both space and weight - which is particularly important in marine applications.

Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin - often combined with additional elements to change the properties of the component material. It is durable, resistant to corrosion, and has a high melting point. Bronze is a highly versatile material utilized in many contexts including marine and seawater applications.
