Gate Valves are designed for regulating fluid flow by lifting a round or rectangular gate out of the path of the fluid. This 3-1/2 in. Non-Rising Stem Gate Valve is made from Bronze. It has a pressure rating of 150 lb Navy with a Flanged connection conforming to MIL-V-1189. It is operated by a Handwheel.
This valve uses a flanged connection, featuring a flat circular plate with bolt holes. This connection allows for easy disassmbly for maintenance or replacement without the need to cut the pipe.
A Non-Rising Stem is a design feature where the Valve Stem does not move up or down when the actuator is turned. Instead, the wedge/gate/disc threads onto the stationary stem - moving up and down within the body of the valve. This feature is particularly useful in applications where space is limited and the valve assembly must be compact.
