Description

This 3-1/2 in. Swing Check Valve is made from Carbon Steel, Cast with a Flanged connection. Features TRIM 8 (CR13/HF) Trim. Class 150 pressure rating.

Swing check valves allow fluid to flow in only one direction, using a flapper or swinging disc that opens to enable forward flow and closes against reverse flow. These backflow preventers are critical in marine applications.

Flanged connections utilize a flat circular plate with bolt holes to join valves to piping. This connection allows for easy disassmbly for maintenance or replacement without the need to cut the pipe. Flanged valves found on most working boats because they are reliable and easy to remove for overhaul.

Carbon Steel is the most common and widely used form of steel worldwide due to its strength, workability, and cost. Carbon Steel is an alloy of Iron that uses carbon as the primary alloying element.
